Hey you guys! I’m popping in for a quick DIY idea just in time for Valentine’s Day! Can you believe it’s tomorrow?! I mean, not that it’s a huge holiday (or we’re really celebrating), I just feel like it crept up on us.
Last weekend I attended a Bachelorette party for a dear friend, and I was in charge of flowers. The party was Kate Spade inspired, so I spray painted assorted vases white that I bought at Goodwill. Spray painting glass can get messy. If you hold the vase too close while painting, the paint will drip, and nobody has time for that. The key is to hold the can about a foot away from the vase when spraying. You will waste a little paint, but it will ensure a smooth and flawless paint job.
After the weekend I brought the vases home and added a little Washi tape action to spice them up. I mean why not? I obviously wasn’t going for a geometric pattern. I just wrapped the Washi tape around the vases and let it do its thing. You could definitely do straight stripes if that’s your thing too.
I’m also sharing a fun flower garland over on The Creativity Exchange today! I’d love if you showed me some love over there.
If you’re really looking to follow me around today you can also read a little Q&A I shared on the cutest blog ever, Let’s Dazzle Darlings.
Have a great weekend, friends. I want to hear details about your Valentine’s plans.
