The sweetest little girl recently got the sweetest nursery, and it was so exciting to help mom, Lacey, design this space. Emma Jane is now 3 months old, but I finally photographed this space and am sharing it all today.
A few weeks ago I shared the design plan for this nursery including all pieces chosen for the space and why they were chosen. This nursery was an e-design, so all communication was over email.
Lacey was drawn to this peony wallpaper from the get-go and expressed interest in using it as an accent wall in the nursery. I sourced several alternatives on our joint Pinterest board, and Lacey did like most of them, but she ultimately came back to the peony paper as it was what she originally dreamed for the space.
The paper feels very soft and feminine, so I chose to add classic elements like the Jenny Lind style crib, antique like mirror and crystal chandelier to bring a major elegant feel to the space.
Lacey loves pink and requested as much pink as we could fit in this space, so we did that through the bedding and window treatments.
We went with SW Snowbound for the surrounding walls’ paint color. This shade of white was very close to the shade of white from the paper, and while Lacey was skeptical about white walls being TOO white, the space gets a decent amount of natural light, so it feels right.
