First off, I just want to thank each person who took the time to comment and enter my Blogiversary giveaway. I was truly blown away by your kind comments. I enjoyed reading every comment and loved getting to know you a little better. Congrats to Sonja for winning!
Before we get too far into January, I wanted to share a recap of 2014. Better late than never! Although I do cringe at the sight of some of my old posts, it is fun to go back to see how my style has changed.
Recap of 2014:
This was a major project for me, and I also remember it being the first project I was really proud to share. I had never painted furniture, so I wasn’t too sure how it would turn out, but I ended up being happy with the final product.
I convinced my little sister (and parents) to let me redo her teen bedroom. It was my first real design project. I created the room around these fabulous Caitlin Wilson pillows, so you can imagine my excitement when Caitlin Wilson featured the teen bedroom on her blog!
I gave our living room a makeover complete with a gallery wall. I think the painted turtle shell is my favorite part.
I shared my first fashion post in November. I have had a lot of fun sharing this new kind of post and hope that you enjoy them too!
I styled my first styled shoot with my friend, Jenna McElroy, who shot it in film. The inspiration for the shoot was lavender and brass. I wanted it to be a romantic and moody setting. It ended up being featured on one of my favorite blogs of all time, Style Me Pretty!
2014 was good to me. I feel like my design style evolved so much through this blog. Bring it on, 2015!
