Waiting on Martha Neutral and Olive Master Bedroom

Waiting on Martha

“Olive” might have a bad rep with some, but when done right, it can be so beautiful.  I get it, it probably isn’t the first color that comes to mind when thinking about decorating your master bedroom.  I think these photos of Mandy’s master bedroom of Waiting on Martha will change your mind if you are a bit skeptic.  It’s serene yet rich, and that combo isn’t easy to achieve.  An all neutral bedroom can sometimes look flat.  Olive is the perfect accent color to give a neutral bedroom some needed depth.  This neutral and olive bedroom is a winner.

  1. We’ve had (what looks like) an identical color on our bedroom wall for years and love it. As you said, it’s serene. In fact, our den is a much lighter version from the same paint strip – again, a very relaxing feel in that room too. The rest of the house is very light – only our “relaxation” rooms are the green.

  2. Gorgeous photos! We painted our library a dark olive green and every time I walk into the room I love it. There’s enough neutral in olive I think that the green doesn’t scream at you, so it’s never overwhelming. Just rich and cozy.
