My Kind of Fencing

My kind of Fencing

You know that friend who started his company, ehco, plus his adorable family?  We are great friends with Jenna and Scott and they just so happen to live in an adorable bungalow not far from ours.  They have two boys are are always on the run to say the least.  I don’t know how those people do it – run one successful photography business, start another company, raise have two kids, they are truly amazing and crazy plus everything in between. I love them for it.

I love their house too and decided that they could use some fencing.  Cute fencing.  Easy fencing.  Who doesn’t need cute, easy fencing??  They have a cute little backyard that backs up to another house, and I thought they could use some privacy.  Because that’s what you do when you receive great product to share on your blog.  You put in your friend’s cute yard.

This is a shot of their backyard before:

And after we installed the Connections fencing:

I was really pleased with how it turned out.  Truth be told, Parker did most of the “installing”, but I assisted/chatted with Jenna, and it took us an hour and a half start to finish.  Maybe two hours.  We came over around 10:00 on Saturday morning and had a babysitting gig at noon, so had to be done by then.

You can see in the image how close their neighbors are, so I think having this privacy fence will be nice for them.

Again, the process was super easy.  To briefly break it down – Those panels can be stacked 1, 2 or 3 high.  Each panel is 18.75″ tall, so at tallest, the fence is 56″ tall.  There is a three tier post, two tier panel post and one tier post.  Each post comes with a blue stake that you hammer into the yard.

From there you slide the post over the stake.

And then the panels just slide down the posts.

It’s honestly as easy as it sounds.  Plus it’s the definition of curb appeal, and we could all use a little of that, am I right?

The flamingos make it 10x better.  I found those at Lowes.

I like the layered height look, but you could also go for one uniformed height, especially if you want an enclosed look.  We only installed this in the back corner of their backyard, which is why we opted for the layered height look.

This fencing is sold exclusively at Lowes, which is great when you don’t buy enough and have to go back to the store/order more….
