Happy Labor Day to you! I hope you are spending it how you should be – doing a whole lot of nothing. I always consider Labor Day weekend to be the real start to fall even if it doesn’t feel like it outside. An old, outdated rule says you can’t wear white after Labor Day because summer whites are supposed to be a thing in the past. I still love whites for fall, but that’s beside the point. People made a rule a long time ago that basically said summer is over, and I say okay to summer officially being over but I can’t say that’s stopping me from wearing white past this day.
Today we are kicking off the first day of fall home tours put on by Marty from A Stroll Thru Life. Marty is truly a gem and was so kind to include me in this huge celebration of decorating for fall.
If you are here from Peaceful Home Decor, welcome! Wasn’t her tour gorgeous?!
I think fall is all about feeling and looking cozy as the temps start to drop for a much needed break from the summer heat. I really didn’t bring in too many “heavy” colors and textures as most traditionally do because our home is already pretty rich in color. I am loving mustard and brought that in through small details.
And what I’m working on now…. Pretty excited to share more of this project.

Be sure to check out the other 5 home tours today and the 24 happening tomorrow through Friday. Lots of fall going on this week… I’m pretty excited to get lost in some home tours….
