Today I am sharing a fun and super simple way to save a special date. As you might know, Parker and I got married last June, so I have been looking for a project to display our wedding date. My friend and hair salon owner, Sharon at Studio 319 in Lufkin, gave me this calendar page from June 2013 (our wedding month). Sharon was selling these adorable calendars in the store, but this one was left over after 2013. I have to give all the credit to Sharon for this project because she gave me the idea to frame and display this June 2013 page.
I love how the June month has coral and fish because it takes me back to our fabulous honeymoon in St. Lucia…sigh…
I used a gold marker to draw a heart around our wedding date, June 15th, and put it in a frame I found at IKEA. The end. How easy is that?!
I love how the white mat gives a clean and fresh look, but you could use any frame of your choice. This would make a sweet anniversary gift, but if you don’t have an anniversary you could also display a birthday or any holiday with special meaning.
Hope you all have a great rest of the week! Parker and I are traveling to Atlanta this weekend to visit his family! See you back here next week for more fun, DIY projects!
