Hello and welcome to the blog! Today I am sharing a fun diy holiday gift wrap idea. You might be thinking, “Why would I want to make my own gift wrap when I can buy a super cute roll of wrapping paper from Target?” Well, although easier said than done, we could all benefit from slowing down this holiday season. The non-stop shopping, holiday parties and traveling is in full force right now, and it might be making your life a little hectic. I’m trying to slow down and enjoy and holidays! Make that gingerbread house, do a craft with the children in your life, do something that’s not on your to-do list.
To create my homemade wrapping paper I used Royal Designs’s Christmas Ornament Christmas Stencil as well as kraft wrapping paper, washable paint and brushes. I rolled the paper out and painted inside the stencil. I did not worry about paint bleeding because I wanted it to look “hand made”.
Again, this is not a “picture perfect” craft. You’re going for the crafty look.
I thought it turned out super cute!!
This is also a great way to allow children to help out! It would be so sweet to use this homemade gift wrap on a gift for a parent from a child. I’d love to hear about any holiday crafts your family is doing!
